Wor(l)d of Morrissey
We're back! Welcome to the world of Morrissey's lyrics.

This site and all of the work made to keep it updated during the last 25 years are dedicated to my beloved friend MaCa65 who suddenly left this lonely planet
and me without words. Throughout the short stretch of time that we have been given to spend together as close friends, we shared many things,
thoughts, passions and some bits of Life. Back in 1983, together we discovered a band called The Smiths and together since then, we followed Morrissey's career
as one of the most influential and inspiring singer/artist/poet of our age. Maca65 has always been a strong supporter since when I first launched WoM,
so this is and will always be entirely for you, my friend. -- David

There Speaks A True Friend

Now there
There speaks a true friend
There speaks a friend for life

You told me all the things
That you think are wrong with me
I just wish you'd stayed around
and helped me put them right
But nevertheless

There
There speaks a true friend
There speaks a friend for life

You listed all the things
That people cannot stand about me
I just wish you'd stayed around and helped me to improve
Because I've tried, I've tried
I've really really tried

You say I don't know how to live
(And that's true)
You say I don't deserve to live
Oh where would I be without my friends to help me?
I just can't imagine where I'd be, can you?
NO!

Ecco che parla un vero amico

Ecco adesso
Ecco che parla un vero amico
Ecco che parla un amico per la vita

Mi avevi detto tutte le cose
che tu pensi siano sbagliate in me
Vorrei solo che mi fossi rimasto vicino
e mi avessi aiutato a metterle a posto
Ma nonostante questo

Ecco
Ecco che parla un vero amico
Ecco che parla un amico per la vita

Avevi elencato tutte le cose
che la gente non sopporta di me
Vorrei che mi fossi rimasto vicino
e mi avessi aiutato a migliorare
perché io ho tentato, ho tentato
Ho davvero, davvero tentato

Dici che non so come si vive
(e questo è vero)
Dici che non merito di vivere
Oh dove mai sarei senza l'aiuto dei miei amici?
Proprio non riesco ad immaginare dove sarei, e tu?
NO!
