Wor(l)d of Morrissey
We're back! Welcome to the world of Morrissey's lyrics.

This site and all of the work made to update it are dedicated to my beloved friend MaCa65 who suddenly left this lonely planet
and me without words. Throughout the short stretch of time that we have been given to spend together as close friends, we shared many things,
thoughts and passions. Back in 1983, together we discovered a band called The Smiths and together since then, we followed Morrissey's career
as one of most influential and inspiring singer/artist/poet of our age. Maca65 has been a strong supporter when I first launched WoM,
so this is and will always be entirely for you, my friend. -- David

A Matter Of Opinion

Oh, sit by the fire with your books
and pretend that you're active
But the very last stage of a nuclear age
is unattractive1

The boys on the factory floor2

Oh, it's all a matter of opinion3

This is a very early and yet unreleased song by the Smiths. Complete lyrics are unknown but these lines have been given by journalist Simon Goddard in an article to Record Collector magazine in June 2003 and in his essential book "The Songs That Saved Your Life". The first one is the song's opening line1, while the third one is (obviously) from the chorus3.

Una questione d'opinione

Oh, siedi vicino al camino con i tuoi libri
e fingi di essere attivo
ma l'ultimo stadio di un'era nucleare
è poco allettante1

I ragazzi dell'officina2

The Songs That Saved Your Life". Qui riportiamo la prima strofa1, un frammento2 ed il ritornello3.
