Ranking as one of Marr's least favourite Smiths tracks, this cover of a Cilla Black song is a direct result of Morrissey's obsession with 60's girl singers (Morrissey's first single he bought, aged six, was Marianne Faithfull's "Come And Stay With Me"). The Smiths' version misses the starting verse "There are girls/That men will slay for/To provide/The things that they long for/Why do you think work is a four-letter word?", and is not verbatim elsewhere. This song ended up as a B-side to "Girlfriend In A Coma". Link: YT Video

Considerata da Johnny Marr come uno dei pezzi peggiori degli Smiths, questa cover di una canzone di Cilla Black è il diretto risultato dell'ossessione di Morrissey per le cantanti degli anni Sessanta (il primo singolo, che comprò all'età di sei anni, fu "Come And Stay With Me" di Marianne Faithfull). La versione Smiths manca della strofa iniziale "Ci sono ragazze/Per cui gli uomini uccidono/Per portar loro/Le cose che desiderano/Perché pensi che lavoro sia una brutta parola?", e non è letterale altrove nel testo. E' stata pubblicata come lato B di "Girlfriend In A Coma". Four-Letter Word: lett. "parola di quattro lettere", un modo pulito di dire "brutta parola, parolaccia, volgarità" perché in inglese esistono almeno due brutte parole di quattro lettere come "s**t" o "f**k" Link: YT Video
