Wor(l)d of Morrissey
We're back! Welcome to the world of Morrissey's lyrics.

This site and all of the work made to keep it updated during the last 25 years are dedicated to my beloved friend MaCa65 who suddenly left this lonely planet
and me without words. Throughout the short stretch of time that we have been given to spend together as close friends, we shared many things,
thoughts, passions and some bits of Life. Back in 1983, together we discovered a band called The Smiths and together since then, we followed Morrissey's career
as one of the most influential and inspiring singer/artist/poet of our age. Maca65 has always been a strong supporter since when I first launched WoM,
so this is and will always be entirely for you, my friend. -- David

One Of Our Own

Standing at the stone
Of one of our own
He died saving my life
He took the lead
Aimed for my head
Such love shown I'd never known

Give me the gun
I love you
A job half done
Isn't done

Standing at the stone
Of one of our own
He took the plug
And he hit the rug
Such love shown I've never known
Now I don't want to know tomorrow

Give me the gun
I love you
A job half done
Isn't done

Kneeling at the stone
Of one of our own
He took a round
And he hit the ground
He took the blast
His very last
I have no use for tomorrow

No use for tomorrow
No use for tomorrow

Dammi quel fucile
Io ti amo
Un lavoro fatto a metà
non è un lavoro finito

In ginocchio davanti alla lapide
di uno dei nostri
Si è fatto un giro
ed è precipitato a terra
Ha fatto il botto
Il suo ultimo sballo
Io non so che farmene del domani

Domani non serve a niente
Domani non serve a niente

He took the blast - subire l'esplosione, fare il botto, ma anche prendersi uno sballo, fare baldoria.
