Wor(l)d of Morrissey
We're back! Welcome to the world of Morrissey's lyrics.

This site and all of the work made to update it are dedicated to my beloved friend MaCa65 who suddenly left this lonely planet
and me without words. Throughout the short stretch of time that we have been given to spend together as close friends, we shared many things,
thoughts and passions. Back in 1983, together we discovered a band called The Smiths and together since then, we followed Morrissey's career
as one of most influential and inspiring singer/artist/poet of our age. Maca65 has been a strong supporter when I first launched WoM,
so this is and will always be entirely for you, my friend. -- David

Pashernate Love

Pashernate love
In any form
Whether real or a dream

Pashernate love
Could make your system erupt
Into wild blisters and boils

Oh, as for me
It still doesn't understand me
It wouldn't lay one single finger on me

Pashernate love
Could make your Grandmother zoom
Roller-skating back from the grave

Pashernate love
Could make your old Daddy feel
Like he may have a reason to live

Oh, as for me
It still doesn't understand me
And it wouldn't lay one single finger on me

I'm always there
It's always elsewhere
Oh, Pashernate love

Oh, where are you?
Where are you?

Pashernate: similar to English pronunciation of "passionate". The misspelling is sometimes used by Morrissey to give the word a slightly different meaning. In this case, Morrissey seems to depict something more than a passionate love, something stronger and deeper.

Amore passionale

Amore passionale
in qualunque forma
che sia reale o un sogno

L'amore passionale
potrebbe fare scoppiare il tuo sistema nervoso
in furiose vesciche e bolle sulla pelle

Oh, in quanto a me
ancora non mi comprende
Non poserebbe un singolo dito su di me

L'amore passionale
potrebbe far sfrecciare tua nonna
sui pattini a rotelle dalla tomba

L'amore passionale
potrebbe far sentire il tuo vecchio papā
come se avesse una ragione per vivere

Oh, in quanto a me
