18/11/2006 - Quarto singolo da "Ringleader Of The Tormentors" in uscita il prossimo 4 dicembre
Sarà "I Just Want To See The Boy Happy" il quarto ed ultimo singolo tratto dal fortunato album "Ringleader Of The Tormentors". La sua pubblicazione è programmata per il 4 dicembre 2006. Nella tracklist del CD singolo e del 7 pollici anche l'inedita "Sweetie-Pie" e altri brani come "Speedway", "I Want The One I Can't Have" e "Late Night, Maudlin Street", tutti registrati dal vivo alla Royal Albert Hall di Londra nel 2002.

The fourth and last single from successful Morrissey's 2006 album is "I Just Want To See The Boy Happy" and will be released next December 4 in UK and Europe. B-sides from the CD Single and 7" include the unreleased "Sweetie-Pie" and live tracks as "Speedway", "I Want The One I Can't Have" and "Late Night, Maudlin Street", all recorded at The Royal Albert Hall in 2002. |

Morrissey e Ennio Morricone torneranno a lavorare insieme. Lo ha annunciato il cantante britannico sul sito internet a lui dedicato 'true-to-you.net'. "Per l'immediato futuro, Ennio Morricone (sì, Morricone!) mi ha chiesto di cantare e scrivere le parole per una sua composizione, con l'idea di presentarla alla Carnegie Hall. Evviva, evviva, evviva!" Morrissey aveva già lavorato con Morricone nel suo ultimo album, 'Ringleader Of The Tormentors': il compositore italiano ha arrangiato gli archi del brano 'Dear God Please Help Me'. Morrissey to work with Ennio Morricone again
Morrissey and Ennio Morricone will work together again. Morrissey did the announce on the web site True To You (www.true-to-you.net). "For the immediate future I am excited to be asked by Morricone (yes, Morricone) to sing and supply words for one of his musical pieces with a view to presenting this song at Carnegie Hall. Joy, joy, joy." Morrissey had already worked with Morricone in a song of his last album 'Ringleader Of The Tormentors': the Italian composer arranged the strings section for the track 'Dear God Please Help Me'. 25/07/2006 - "In The Future When All's Well" terzo singolo dall'album Ringleader of the Tormentors.
L'etichetta Sanctuary pubblicherà ITFWAW come terzo singolo il prossimo 20 agosto, con "Christian Dior" come b-side (scritta insieme a Boz Boorer), mentre il CD2 conterrà due brani live tratti dall'ultima data del tour al Palladium di Londra: "I'll Never Be Anybody's Hero Now", and "To Me You Are A Work Of Art".
"In The Future When All's Well" is the third single off the album Ringleader of the Tormentors.
Sanctuary will release In The Future When All's Well on August 20th, with "Christian Dior" on the b-side (co-written with Boz), and CD2 with two live tracks from the final night of the tour at the London Palladium - "I'll Never Be Anybody's Hero Now", and "To Me You Are A Work Of Art". |
18/07/2006 - Roma - Teatro Romano di Ostia Antica (16 luglio 2006)
All'inizio del concerto, dal momento che Bob Dylan era in concerto a Roma la stessa sera, Morrissey si è rivolto al pubblico dicendo: "Come saprete, stasera Bob Dylan suona non molto lontano da qui. Vi ringrazio per non essere andati. Avete preso una decisione molto saggia!"
Il concerto si è rivelato un grande spettacolo. Per l'occasione "Irish Blood, English Heart" è diventata "Italian Blood, English Heart" e nella presentazione della band, Michael Farrell è stato presentato come Fabio Cannavaro. Molti altri scherzi e giochi di parole sull'Italia da parte di Moz, come ci si aspettava.

At the beginning of the concert, since Bob Dylan was also playing in Rome the same night, Morrissey said to the audience: "As you may know, tonight Bob Dylan is playing not very far from here. I thank you for not going. You made a very wise choice!"
The concert revealed to be a great show. For the occasion "Irish Blood, English Heart" was changed into "Italian Blood, English Heart" and when introducing the band, Michael Farrell was introduced as "Fabio Cannavaro". Lots of in-jokes about Italy, as expected. |

11/05/2006 - Il video di "The Youngest" girato a Roma
Il video di "The Youngest Was The Most Loved" comincia a circolare sulle reti televisive inglesi (per es. VH2). Per chiunque non lo abbia visto ancora, mostra Morrissey nel ruolo del protagonista del brano (un assassino) in manette mentre viene arrestato e portato via in una macchina della polizia italiana. I poliziotti sono interpretati dai "Tormentors", la band al seguito di Morrissey. Compare anche Alain Whyte. I paparazzi circondano la macchina. Per tutto il video Morrissey mostra un sorriso crescente ("A lop-sided grin...") che alla fine diventa una risata quando si trova all'interno dell'auto. Il video è in bianco e nero.
"The Youngest" Video shot in Rome
The video for "The Youngest Was The Most Loved" premiered on English music televisions a few days ago. For anyone who hasn't seen it, it features Moz, playing the protagonist of the song, in handcuffs being taken to a car by Italian police - played by the band, including Alain Whyte. Paparazzi surround the car. Throughout the video, Moz has a constant smile on his face - "A lop-sided grin...." which eventually turns into laughter when he's inside the car. The video is in black and white. |

14/04/2006 - Nuovo singolo da ROTT in uscita il prossimo 29 maggio
Morrissey pubblicherà un nuovo singolo dopo il tour in UK. Fra pochi giorni inizierà un massiccio giro di promozioni per il suo album che ha raggiunto il numero 1 della classifica inglese. Ed il 29 maggio, il giorno successivo alla fine del tour, sarà pubblicato "The Youngest Was The Most Loved" come secondo singolo dal nuovo album, dopo il successo di "You Have Killed Me" che ha raggiunto il numero 3 nella classifica UK dei singoli.

Morrissey is to release a new single after his epic UK tour. The star hits the road later this month for a massive jaunt to promote his Number One album 'Ringleader Of The Tormentors'. And on May 29, the day after the tour ends, he will release 'The Youngest Was The Most Loved'. the track is the second to be taken from the new LP, after the Top Ten success of 'You Have Killed Me', charting at no. 3 in the UK Singles Chart. |
10/04/2006 - Jammin’ Festival: anche Morrissey in cartellone
Il cast degli artisti che si esibiranno all’Heineken Jammin’ Festival 2006 in programma il 16 e 17 giugno all’Autodromo “Enzo & Dino Ferrari” di Imola, si arricchisce di altre due “new entry” internazionali. Si tratta di Morrissey e dei Darkness. I due nomi vanno a completare un cartellone che punta su Depeche Mode, Negramaro, Morrissey, Hard-Fi, Kill the Young per la prima giornata, e su Metallica, Darkness, Avenged Seven Fold, Lacuna Coil, Living Thing e Trivium per la seconda. Jammin' Festival in Imola, 16th June: Morrissey will be there
Among the artists that will perform at the Heineken Jammin' Festival 2006 in Imola June, 16th and 17th Morrissey and The Darkness have been announced. The two artists complete a cast that already includes Depeche Mode, Negramaro, Hard-Fi, Kill the Young for the first day.
